Had Jerry from JAF to redo some cabling issues and add a splitter on our OTA . While in the attic he cut our OTA antenna cable and then reconnected with a barrel splice after deciding what he wanted to do wouldn’t work. That’s were our problems started - suddenly we had no OTA reception. First he said our new TV was at fault and spent a long time on the phone talking to a Samsung rep. Then he thought it was the antenna (mounted atop a 20’ tower) . I asked him to redo the splitter behind the TV and that resolved the issue! - after an hour and a half. Jerry then said our TV-AVR was not hooked up right. Claimed our AVR lacked ARC so he switched some cabling and TV/ AVR settings. He then reprogrammed our remote..time on the job was six hours. That evening turned on the TV and the screen notice was ARC HDMI was not correct. Had Geek Squad out and the tech said our AVR Has a Arc hdmi and they had to go through the process of switching cables and redoing tv/AVR settings. I called Jerry and told him My receiver has ARC HDMI. His answer: guess I missed it! Would avoid using his services.
