Areas of Expertise:
Security System:
A security system is a combination of devices and services which work to protect a residence or business against the threat of invasion or intrusion. Security systems sometimes serve as protection from natural disasters as well. Residential, commercial, and industrial customers alike use security systems to safeguard against theft (burglary) and property damage. Security systems are available in a range of formats, levels, and pricing packages. They may involve professional installation or DIY installation. Whether these systems are intended to protect against a single incident or high threat of invasion at all times, they may involve a number of components, such as video cameras, alarm systems, smart home automation, notifications, smart locks, smart sensors, and more.
Home Theater Systems:
A home theater system combines a range of home entertainment features to recreate the theater experience. Some of these features include surround sound, lights, TVs, DVD or Blu-Ray players, and speakers. While all home theater systems include surround sound, not all surround sound systems are used for home theaters. Users may select professional or DIY installation for their home theater system, but professional installation is recommended due to the intricate wiring often involved in these systems. Home theaters may also pair with home automation systems to allow users to control their system via a smart device.
Burglar Alarm Installation:
Alarm systems work to alert homeowners or business owners to the threat of intrusion. These systems can be standalone security systems, or work in combination with a larger security system, including home automation. The alarm system serves as the control panel for all sensors involved in the security system, meaning that sensors report to the alarm system so the alarm can sound in case of intrusion. Typically, alarm systems have sensors which trip when motion is detected, such as opening of doors or windows. When the sensors are tripped, the alarm sounds within seconds. When paired with home automation systems, residents or business owners may receive notifications regarding the alarm. Alarm systems may be controlled by the home security base or hub.
Security Camera Installation:
Security cameras, also called CCTV, are used within security systems to help users monitor a certain area. Unlike surveillance cameras, video cameras send signals to a monitor at a specific location and don’t necessarily connect to an IP network. Security cameras serve to help thwart home crime attempts, including theft. Cameras may be placed in plain sight or hidden, depending on security system needs. A variety of security system cameras are available, ranging from video doorbell cameras to a number of different indoor and outdoor cameras, and cameras may involve self-monitoring or professional monitoring. Installation of security cameras depends on user needs and the security system provider, but either DIY installation or professional installation may be available. Professional installation helps avoid wiring issues and other issues that may arise during DIY installation.
Services Offered:
Professional Monitoring Services:
Professional monitoring services are offered as a part of many security system packages. These services work by connecting a security system provider’s monitoring center to the alarm system or surveillance cameras of an individual residence or business. When a security system control hub is tripped due to a motion sensor alert, the hub sends a signal to the monitoring center, which is monitored by a live person or security guard. The person then contacts the residence or business owner right away to verify whether a false alarm is taking place or whether there is a possible security threat. If the security system holder can’t be reached, the monitoring center personnel contacts the appropriate authorities.
Fire Protection And Prevention Services:
Many security system providers offer fire and smoke alarm system monitoring to help prevent home and business fire damage. Professional fire prevention services involve monitoring the smoke detectors, fire alarms, and carbon monoxide detectors. If the alarm system is tripped due to the presence of smoke, CO, or heat, these sensors will typically be tripped. When the monitoring center receives an alert from the alarm system, they will first try to contact the alarm system point of contact (homeowner or business owner). If they don’t answer, the monitoring center personnel will contact emergency services immediately. These services are not typically included with every security system package, but with certain plans which include professional monitoring.
