Areas of Expertise:

Security System:

A security system is a combination of devices and services which work to protect a residence or business against the threat of invasion or intrusion. Security systems sometimes serve as protection from natural disasters as well. Residential, commercial, and industrial customers alike use security systems to safeguard against theft (burglary) and property damage. Security systems are available in a range of formats, levels, and pricing packages. They may involve professional installation or DIY installation. Whether these systems are intended to protect against a single incident or high threat of invasion at all times, they may involve a number of components, such as video cameras, alarm systems, smart home automation, notifications, smart locks, smart sensors, and more.

Smart Home Automation:

Smart home automation offers the latest in security system technology, providing a way for homeowners or business owners to monitor their security through a smart device or home base or hub control panel. Automation syncs both security system components and other smart home features, such as thermostats. From a security system app, users can control their smart locks, window and door sensors, receive notifications regarding carbon monoxide and heat sensors, and more. Smart home automation systems may be connected via wired or wireless systems and generally work alongside full security systems. They may be self-monitored or professionally monitored.

Burglar Alarm Installation:

Alarm systems work to alert homeowners or business owners to the threat of intrusion. These systems can be standalone security systems, or work in combination with a larger security system, including home automation. The alarm system serves as the control panel for all sensors involved in the security system, meaning that sensors report to the alarm system so the alarm can sound in case of intrusion. Typically, alarm systems have sensors which trip when motion is detected, such as opening of doors or windows. When the sensors are tripped, the alarm sounds within seconds. When paired with home automation systems, residents or business owners may receive notifications regarding the alarm. Alarm systems may be controlled by the home security base or hub.

Security Camera Installation:

Security cameras, also called CCTV, are used within security systems to help users monitor a certain area. Unlike surveillance cameras, video cameras send signals to a monitor at a specific location and don’t necessarily connect to an IP network. Security cameras serve to help thwart home crime attempts, including theft. Cameras may be placed in plain sight or hidden, depending on security system needs. A variety of security system cameras are available, ranging from video doorbell cameras to a number of different indoor and outdoor cameras, and cameras may involve self-monitoring or professional monitoring. Installation of security cameras depends on user needs and the security system provider, but either DIY installation or professional installation may be available. Professional installation helps avoid wiring issues and other issues that may arise during DIY installation.

Services Offered:

Emergency Locksmith Services:

Not all professional locksmiths provide 24-hour services, but this is a service which can come in handy at all hours of the day. Some providers offer emergency locksmith services within security system packages to ensure homeowners or business owners have a backup plan if for any reason they are locked out of their residence or place of business. Individual contractors and professional locksmiths may also provide 24-hour lock services.

Professional Monitoring Services:

Professional monitoring services are offered as a part of many security system packages. These services work by connecting a security system provider’s monitoring center to the alarm system or surveillance cameras of an individual residence or business. When a security system control hub is tripped due to a motion sensor alert, the hub sends a signal to the monitoring center, which is monitored by a live person or security guard. The person then contacts the residence or business owner right away to verify whether a false alarm is taking place or whether there is a possible security threat. If the security system holder can’t be reached, the monitoring center personnel contacts the appropriate authorities.

Residential Security Services:

Some companies and certified professionals provide solutions that are focused on delivering a set of products and services for residential customers only. They are designed to fit any home’s needs, from certified locksmiths and electricians to home security systems, home automation, and home theater systems. Companies offering residential services dedicate themselves to provide excellent service to customers who live in different types of homes, from small apartments to larger homes.

Smoke Alarm Installation:

Household smoke alarms are self-contained devices that detect smoke and broadcast a visual or audible warning locally. Smoke alarm installations are typically seen in residential apartments and homes. Smoke sensors come in hardwired or wireless option, powered by electricity or battery-powered. Smoke detectors also sense smoke but are not self-contained. Instead, they operate as part of an interconnected fire alarm system. Smoke detector installations are commonly set up for commercial applications, such as hospitals, warehouses, and hotels. They are usually controlled by a central fire alarm system with battery backup. Smoke detectors are connected wired or wirelessly. In many jurisdictions, they require professional installations by certified technicians. Additionally, an expert operator is employed for all smoke detector repairs that may arise.

Video Doorbell Installation:

A Video Doorbell is a smart doorbell that notifies the user via smartphone or another electronic device when someone arrives at their doorstep. It is triggered by a built-in motion sensor or when the visitor rings the doorbell. It is the latest and most popular in smart home products, created for customers looking to enhance their security systems. It allows the user to use a mobile phone app to communicate with the visitor in real-time. Video doorbells come equipped with high definition cameras and night vision. Some even allow the user to open the door remotely using a smart lock. Some video doorbell installations are DIY projects that can be done by the customer. Other video doorbells require professional installation performed by a certified expert that will configure the video doorbell properly, which may have an extra cost.

Fire Protection And Prevention Services:

Many security system providers offer fire and smoke alarm system monitoring to help prevent home and business fire damage. Professional fire prevention services involve monitoring the smoke detectors, fire alarms, and carbon monoxide detectors. If the alarm system is tripped due to the presence of smoke, CO, or heat, these sensors will typically be tripped. When the monitoring center receives an alert from the alarm system, they will first try to contact the alarm system point of contact (homeowner or business owner). If they don’t answer, the monitoring center personnel will contact emergency services immediately. These services are not typically included with every security system package, but with certain plans which include professional monitoring.

Lighting Installation Services:

Most lighting in homes and businesses are now energy-efficient LED (light-emitting diodes) lights. However, new lighting devices and fixtures should be professionally installed by licensed technicians. A lighting technician can provide installation, repair, and service of all lighting devices, fixtures, and products, for both indoor and outdoor lighting. Lighting technicians may offer regular service contracts for repair and maintenance and even help home and business owners choose optimal lighting solutions.

Low-Voltage Wiring Services:

Low-voltage wiring requires professional installation. Yet it may not require installation from an electrical technician, because it does not carry the same electrical current as high-voltage power outlets, switches, and fixtures in a home. Because of this, many home security system providers may offer to install low-voltage wiring as part of their installation package. Depending on the provider, this service may cover installation, repair, and system replacement.

Boiler And Water Heater Services:

Boilers provide heat to homes or buildings via radiators or air heating systems. Large water heaters store and heat water for later use. These systems require complex connections and must be professionally installed. Services may be provided by a licensed heating contractor or a heating service business, and may range from regular service contracts to 24-hour services.

Gate Lock:

Gate locks help keep a property safe, making it harder for intruders to break in through the gate. Gate locks have a broad range of applications, such as restricting access to a yard, machinery, homes or businesses. It is also an excellent way of keeping things inside a property, like pets or small children that are prone to getting out through the gate, reducing these events by installing a gate lock. Certified locksmiths offer installation and implementation of gate locks. They can provide several distinct gate locks, depending on the gate, location, and functionality. The most commonly used gate locks are slide bolts, key based gate locks, and spring latch gate locks. A licensed locksmith arrives at the client’s property to provide installation, replacement, or repair services, without damaging the gate’s mainframe. They offer 24/7 professional services for a fast response to gain access to the property.

Keypad Installation:

Certified locksmiths can install countless types of keypad locks, such as digital keypads for home or offices, or combination keypad locks. These professionals also repair or replace malfunctioning keypad locks, connect new ones to an existing security system, and change codes to gain access. Nowadays, home security systems come with a keypad for quick access to the security systems. Alarm system keypads or touchpads are the primary interfaces between the user and the alarm system, used mainly to arm and disarm the system, or check its status. Keypads are usually installed near entry doors or a central location inside a home or office. Very few security keypads are handheld and come with a DIY installation. In most of the cases, security keypads use a 4-wire connection to the main alarm panel and require professional installation. Licensed locksmiths have the proper skills and equipment needed to install these keypads or touchpads, for straightforward access.

Reviews:

I am pleased with the way my system works, but I am not happy with the technician. I was supposed to have a smoke detector installed about three months ago with my initial installation. I asked him when I was talking to them if my exterior cameras would work with their systems. They said yes, but when the guy came, he said no, and he couldn’t install them for me. I have made numerous attempts to get the technician to go out and install it with my success. Annoying and quite annoying.

The technician was impressive! He arrived on time was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was partially impressed by how nice and knowledgeable I was on the ADT team. I highly recommend using their services and will recommend them to others. He shared my options, but he wasn’t pushy and didn’t try to push me on anything or didn’t need or want to.

The company representative in charge of my installation left everything working well; the one thing I didn’t like was that he got dirt on my carpet I feel like I should have had something on his shoes. In addition to this, I was not informed of three visible holes in the front wall of my house, and the technician did not offer an explanation or resolution. No way am I claiming lousy service; I just wanted to be told about the aesthetics of my newly built house. It was wet outside, I understand, but this brown mud wasn’t from my house. I have grass.

The technician, is an amazing representative for ADT is very informative as well, made a great installation. I was so impressed with your recommendations of where to place all the security equipment and why. He has incredible patience and experience. I didn’t know how difficult it would be to hide the cables, made sure I knew how to work the system, I would definitely recommend SafeStreets from the sale to the install process.
